“There ought to be something special about the boundaries of the universe and what can be more special than that there is no boundary? And there should be no boundary to human endeavor. We are all different, however bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at.”

– Dr. Stephen Hawking

‘Making things happen’ is the philosophy in this modern day and age. Most of us chase our goals, day in and day out. We want to progress. In fact, without progress we don’t grow, and without growth we don’t feel alive. Wanting to make things happen is hardwired in us.

Pursuing our desires is meant to make us feel happy, fulfilled and alive. Often, we set too small goals because we are afraid of the impossible.

We are afraid to be creative. But then the expected results can’t be bigger than you dare to imagine. Goals must always be a little bigger and bolder than we can fathom. Our ideas and visions should be crazier so that the results can be more than fascinating and more grand than we expect. Only then do we know our true strength and the capacity within us.

Do you remember the last time you were on board of a plane? Do you remember the demonstration of the airline stewards? Did they say to put on the mask on your children first in case of cabin pressure drop? No, they didn’t! They made it very clear to put on your own mask first before helping anybody else, including your children. They know that you cannot be truly helpful to others without looking after yourself first. You need to unlock your own true potential before you can help others.

Aligning yourself with your true potential is a crucial step in the healthy pursuit of your goals. Aligning yourself with your potential means that you take the time to prepare yourself on an emotional and energetic level. It means that you fill yourself up first before you give. It means that you change your perspective and focus on what you want most from a place of empowerment, belief and certainty. And from this place, what you want happens much faster, smoother, easier. When you are aligned with your potential you even dare to have a higher risk appetite and a higher success rate along the way
